Some useful info to help understand what to expect from my drone shoots; from preparation to shoot day and the equipment I use.
Process
1. Preparation
I need to check the filming location and take off location. Asses the risk and generate Risk Assessment. A site visit may be necessary.
If there are any specific shot requirements, these will be discussed and assessed to see if it’s possible to excite these legally and safely.
It may be decided that a spotter is needed.
2. Pre-Shoot
The day before the shoot, I will determine if the weather impacts the flight and check whether there are any flights planned that will impact the day’s plans.
3. Shoot Day
The morning of the shoot, I will check for any available information regarding the flights and double check the weather forecast.
The day will be conducted in line with the Official CAA Drone Code, which is the Civil Aviation Authorities Code of Conduct.
4. Delivery
My standard delivery method is a link to an Online Gallery where you can download photos an videos. This is available for 2 months.
In specific circumstances RAW card data can be transferred in an agreed method.
